Position SummaryThe Bramcolm team is seeking a Principal Cloud Architect who’s passionate about shaping the future of cloud adoption for enterprise organizations. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions across diverse client environments. Your expertise in Microsoft Azure and multi-cloud strategy will help drive innovation, flexibility, and architectural excellence.
The right person will guide hybrid and cloud-native infrastructure journeys, apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, and set the standards that ensure security and compliance. Most importantly, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader, influencing the direction of cloud strategy and empowering teams to adopt the cloud with confidence.
Given our support for a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, you will have the opportunity to engage in projects spanning various domains, scales, and technical requirements. This diversity demands exceptional flexibility and adaptability. You will need to quickly understand new business contexts, existing infrastructure, and organizational goals unique to each client engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Architect and lead the design of cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and other public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Google Cloud) to support hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Define and maintain cloud architecture standards and best practices for performance, scalability, resilience, and compliance
- Design modern application patterns including microservices, serverless architectures, Kubernetes orchestration, and event-driven systems
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services and solutions that align with client business objectives and technical requirements
- Build and scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions with Terraform, including reusable modules and automated deployment pipelines
- Create standardized templates and frameworks that accelerate cloud deployments across client environments
- Implement CI/CD automation for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
- Establish version control and testing practices for infrastructure code
- Drive governance through Azure Policy and equivalent tools across multi-cloud environments
- Develop strategies for cloud vendor diversity and workload portability
- Integrate and optimize diverse cloud environments (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure) for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Establish architectural patterns that support vendor flexibility while maintaining consistency
- Apply modern security frameworks including Zero Trust and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) to protect cloud and edge environments
- Design secure‑by‑default architectures that embed security controls at every layer
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) strategies across multi‑cloud platforms
- Mentor and coach junior engineers while evangelizing best practices across client organizations
- Advance a cloud‑first, Dev Ops‑driven culture through technical leadership and thought leadership
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client leadership teams
- Lead architectural reviews and provide strategic guidance on complex cloud initiatives
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
