Job SummaryFlora Legal Group is an Indianapolis-based immigration firm committed to serving the immigrant community. We are seeking a junior-level Associate Attorney with a background in litigation or prosecution (e.g., criminal law) who is interested in transitioning into immigration law
. This position offers hands-on training and mentorship in a fast-paced, client-centered practice. We are looking for a strong advocate with excellent communication skills, eager to build courtroom experience and grow within a collaborative legal team. No prior immigration experience is required; however, our ideal candidate has a heart and passion to serve our immigrant population.
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required

- Represents clients in immigration proceedings before the Immigration Court;
- Prepares for and attends hearing preparation appointments with clients;
- Communicates with clients regarding case processing and procedural issues;
- Collaborates with senior attorneys to develop legal strategy for assigned cases;
- Reviews and assists in drafting legal documents and filings;
- Analyzes and evaluates key immigration legal issues;
- Provides support for client consults as needed;
- Enters information in case management software to include notes, client correspondence, hours utilized, and matter updates;
- Time tracks hours worked in accordance with the firm’s time tracking policy.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing to apply;
Juris Doctorate required; - At least 2+ years of litigation/prosecution experience required;
- Strong interest in learning immigration law;
- Demonstrated experience managing a large case load;
- Fluent in Spanish (reading, writing, speaking);
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy helping underserved populations;
- Be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and possess a strong work ethic;
- Enjoy continuous learning in a fast-paced and friendly work environment.

We are open to hiring applicants who are willing to relocate to the greater Indianapolis, IN area. Relocation fees are negotiable.
