What We Offer- Work Schedule:
Typically, 8 AM – 5 PM EST, with flexibility as needed to meet deadlines or support initiatives across U.S. time zones. Some travel is required, for intermittent and extended overnight trips. - 401 K plan with up to 3% employer match after one year of service.

- Compensation: $83,400 plus bonus potential.
The Area Director – DD/IDD Services oversees all programs and services in the assigned geographic region. You’ll provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure high-quality services for individuals with disabilities while expanding and developing new business opportunities. This role includes budget management, staffing, licensing, policy development, marketing, and proposal preparation. You’ll work closely with program directors, support staff, and the state management team to drive excellence and ensure compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage program directors and support staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee financial performance, budgets, and accounts receivable while anticipating and addressing fiscal challenges.
- Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and contract requirements.
- Supervise program development, staff training, and the implementation of support plans for individuals served.
- Expand and develop new and existing business units within the assigned area.
- Represent Dungarvin in local, state, and regional work groups, committees, and partnerships.
- Assess organizational risk and implement risk management protocols to protect the company and those we serve.
- Respond to customer and employee concerns, providing guidance and support to resolve issues promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in a related field is required.
- 2+ years of supervisory (mid-to-upper management) experience.
- 5 years experience in residential programs or services for individuals with disabilities.
- Multi-site or multi-state management experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets agency insurance requirements.
- QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) certification.
- PMP or CPM.
- Financial management or nonprofit management certifications.
- CSP or CHST safety certifications.
- Experience in program development, marketing, and business expansion.
- Data-driven performance management experience.
- Knowledge of Indiana-specific disability service regulations, including licensing, Medicaid compliance, and residential/community program standards.
- Leadership: Inspire, guide, and mentor program directors and staff.
- Decision Making: Evaluate complex situations and implement sound, timely solutions.
