Area Manager - Janitorial Operations (Overnight)

Schedule

Friday-Monday | 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM

(4 ten-hour shifts)

ESS Clean is seeking a hands-on Area Manager to oversee overnight janitorial operations across multiple client sites. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader who excels at quality control, client communication, and operational execution in a fast-paced environment.

The Area Manager owns day-to-day operations for a group of client sites. You'll hire, train, and coach associates, monitor quality through regular inspections, and make sure every customer concern gets swift, complete follow-up.

Friday-Monday | 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM

(4 ten-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

* Train and coach janitorial staff to ensure performance standards are met

* Address performance or attendance issues promptly and document actions

* Reinforce company policies, procedures, and expectations on-site

Quality Control & Customer Care

* Inspect each facility on a scheduled basis and correct deficiencies immediately

* Respond to client questions or complaints the same day and follow through to resolution

* Identify and coordinate special services such as deep cleans and floor care

Operations & Compliance

* Review and approve employee timecards; submit payroll data accurately and on time

* Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to maintain par levels without waste

* Enforce all safety policies; investigate and report incidents immediately

* Complete required company training and certifications

Qualifications

* Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

* 2+ years of management experience in janitorial, facilities, or building services

* Strong judgment and ability to prioritize in a time-sensitive environment

* Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail

* Clear written and verbal communication skills

* Highly organized; able to manage multiple sites simultaneously

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (email, spreadsheets, documents)

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
