Production Planner

Overview

Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier, in the greater Indianapolis, IN area, is seeking candidates for the position of Production Planner
. This position works day shift, Monday - Friday.

$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

• Preparing daily and weekly production schedules based on forecast requirements and company inventory guidelines
• Analyzing and forecasting material requirements for JIT deliveries, placing orders with approved vendors, expediting the timely delivery of materials, and maintaining inventory levels within prescribed goals
• Utilizing lean principles to achieve continuous improvement of the planning and scheduling process
• Coordinate with Purchasing Department related to materials usage
• Verifying BOMs
• Assist with monthly and annual physical inventories

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics or other related area
• Three years of experience with manufacturing scheduling techniques and methodologies

• Tier 1 automotive supply chain experience preferred
• MRP knowledge
• APICS certification preferred

• Salary range $70,000 - $75,000
