Job Title: Plant Maintenance Manager

The Plant Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role within the plant operations team, overseeing all aspects of maintenance for manufacturing equipment and the facility itself. This individual serves as a technical advisor and provides supervision to the maintenance team to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong background in plastic molding equipment, preventive maintenance planning, team leadership, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of molding machines to identify wear, malfunctions, and performance issues.
- Coordinate and execute repairs, retrofits, and upgrades to plastic molding equipment.
- Align maintenance schedules with production plans to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards.
- Manage the maintenance department budget with a focus on cost-effective resource allocation.
- Collaborate with procurement to maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables.
- Recommend equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance performance and reduce long-term costs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment history, and key performance metrics.
- Use data analysis to provide insights and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is required.
- Background in maintenance management within the plastic molding industry.
- In-depth knowledge of molding machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Experience with industry safety regulations and best practices.
