A stable full-service aluminum metal finishing company specializing in high-performance architectural coatings located on the East side of Indianapolis.

• Oversee day-to-day production operations in the aluminum finishing department, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
• Develop and implement production plans and strategies to meet customer demands and delivery schedules.
• Monitor production metrics and analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure the maintenance of equipment and machinery, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive measures.
• Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage and lead a team of production workers, including hiring, training and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain product quality and adherence to specifications.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimise waste and maximise productivity.
• Prepare and manage the production budget, including cost control measures and resource allocation.
• Communicate effectively with other departments, including Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain, to ensure seamless production processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide insights to enhance operational workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in production management, preferably in the aluminum finishing or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning and lean methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficient in data analysis and performance metric tracking.
• Strong leadership, people and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance standards related to aluminum finishing processes.

• Competitive salary $65,000 to $90,000 and benefits package.
