2 years of Level I Trauma experience required
Circulate required; scrub preferred
Well-rounded in most areas except CV and Transplant
Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
Description:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room setting.
Candidates must possess extensive knowledge and experience in trauma surgery procedures.
The role requires active participation in patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
The nurse will circulate during surgeries and may be required to scrub as needed.
The position demands flexibility and the ability to float to different surgical specialties within the operating room as needed.
Candidates must meet call requirements, which vary.
The average daily census for the unit is approximately 70-80 patients.
Qualified candidates should be proficient in the use of various surgical instruments and technologies.
Experience with robotic surgery techniques is preferred.
The role includes working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Maintaining a safe and sterile environment is a critical component of this position.
