Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a critical care stepdown position in a long-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of ICU stepdown experience and AHA certifications.

Job Details

• Work in a 28-bed critical care stepdown/progressive care unit in a long-term acute care hospital (LTACH),

• Patient population includes respiratory failure, post-trauma, CHF, MI, chronic dialysis, post-surgical, and neuro cases,

• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:4 depending on patient acuity,

• Night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30,

• Staffing includes physicians, mid-level providers, RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians with a designated team leader each shift,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license, verified through Nursys with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start,

• Minimum 1 year of ICU stepdown or progressive care experience,

• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications,

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required and must be up to date,

• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US address,

• Driver's license copy, 2 professional references, and license verification required for consideration,

• Care for critically ill patients with complex medical needs in a fast-paced, holistic environment,

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team supported by a designated team leader each shift,

• COVID vaccination is not required,

• Local candidates accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on facility radius rules,

• Holiday coverage and extension discussions should begin 45 days prior to assignment end,
