Michigan Road Animal Hospital at Crooked Creek has an opening for a motivated and compassionate experienced Veterinary Technician or Patient Care Provider to join our patient care team. We practice high quality medicine including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, dental radiology, digital radiology and cold laser therapy. Our AHAA-accredited hospital offers a positive work environment, focusing on high standards of client and patient care.
This position offers a flexible weekday schedule and some Saturdays, with no Sundays or major holidays. Salary is commensurate with experience.
- Provide patient care in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, working directly with veterinarians, patients, and their owners.
- Assist with surgery preparation and recovery; monitor anesthesia.
- Perform dental prophylaxis, dental and digital radiology, and IV catheter placement.
- Obtain venipuncture samples and prepare them for in-house IDEXX machines or reference labs.
- Participate in client education and ensure high standards of client and patient care.
- Collaborate with the medical team to deliver exceptional service and care.
- Maintain reliability, organization, and motivation; work well independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital in areas including patient care, surgery prep and recovery, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, IV catheter placement, dental and digital radiology, venipuncture, and sample preparation for in-house IDEXX machines or reference labs.
- At least 1 year of in-hospital experience or an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology.
- Excellent communication, reliability, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as part of a team or individually.
