Position OverviewLending One is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our partnership program from a major Midwest city. The role requires 2–3 years of successful sales experience, independence in prospecting & relationship building, and a willingness to travel for client meetings, partner visits and industry events. The position is full‑time and can be based in any of the following cities:
Indianapolis, IN;
Columbus, OH;
Kansas City, MO;
St. Louis, MO;
Louisville, KY; or Cincinnati, OH.
- Minimum 2–3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
- Reside in one of the specified Midwest cities and ready to start immediately.
- Strong passion for business development: prospecting new leads, nurturing relationships, and closing deals independently.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently for client meetings, partner visits and industry events.
- Confidence and polish in public speaking, hosting and presenting at events and conferences.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills to build and maintain strong partner connections.
- Self‑starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Serve as the primary salesperson for Lending One’s partnership program within the property‑management community, with opportunities to grow additional partnership channels.
- Require local, state and regional travel; typical frequency averages 30% of the time, increasing to 70% during conference season.
- Provide onsite support to the Vice President of Partnerships during major national industry events and conferences, ensuring a strong brand presence.
- Follow up on marketing‑generated leads, efficiently nurturing and converting inbound interest into valuable partnerships.
- Prospect, engage and build relationships with local and regional property‑management companies serving real‑estate investor clients using strong business‑development and lead‑generation skills.
- Act as the main point of contact for mid‑sized and smaller property‑management firms, ensuring high‑quality engagement and partnership management.
