Responsibilities- Achieve new order/booking and profit goals based on your assigned quota.
- Develop and maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, including forecasting expected order intake and delivering on forecasted results consistently.
- Understand the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across the region, segments, and verticals, and stay current on security market trends.
- Create a vertical market and account management plan that focuses on strategic growth, identifying new business opportunities and developing go‑to‑market strategies.
- Act as a consultant to multiple levels of the customer’s organization, recommending services to ensure their building systems perform as required.
- Attend industry‑specific networking events and actively participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, AEE, or USGBC to build a network of contacts.
- Consult with the customer to determine budgeting and investment requirements.
- Position Siemens as an industry leader among service providers, leveraging world‑class digital service delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes and support sales estimators in preparing cost estimates and bid packages.
- Partner with other sales business teams to plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts.
- Set pricing based on the identified value of services offered to the customer.
- Work with internal and external resources (operations, finance, legal, etc.) to complete sales.
- Participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay knowledgeable on current market, business, and product trends.
- Spend a minimum of 50% of time in customer‑facing activities, in person and on customer sites.
- Support existing customers while hunting for new customers.
- Travel overnight (≈10%) for training and business development as required based on your assigned territory.
- Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- 3+ years of sales experience in security systems, low‑voltage systems, or related fields.
- Demonstrated financial expertise, including estimating and selling technical solutions and service offerings independently.
- Account development and strategic sales skill experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Age 21 or older with a valid driver’s license with limited violations.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM.
- Software, IoT, and networking experience.
- Demonstrable understanding of how to market, position, and sell cloud‑based, data‑driven service programs to existing and new customers.
Base salary range: $61,547 – $105,509.
