• Hourly Pay: 27.00 per hour
• Certification Bonus of 100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to 700
• Quarterly Bonus:
  Ryder pays you up to 500 every quarter - four times per year
• Schedule:
  
  Monday–Friday, weekends off

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Vocational or technical certification; post-secondary degree or technical certifications preferred
• Basic tools required
• Experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance
• Two years or more of a combination of classroom training and work experience (preferred)
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)
• This position requires driving Ryder vehicles. You must be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months after hire
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

Important Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer where applicable
• Identifies root causes of basic failures/conditions and performs repairs as required
• Replaces defective components as instructed
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the complaint
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation
• Works in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines
• Performs other support duties to support operations
