POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within agency as directed by the Facilities Director. The position shall also be responsible for completing safety reviews and inspections of facilities. The Maintenance Technician will assess and consider daily the safety of agency clients and employees and the security of agency assets.

- Maintenance repairs involving electrical, HVAC, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement.
- Performs preventive building maintenance duties, touch up painting, caulking windows and doors, repairing drywall, etc.
- Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks or urinals, fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains.
- Performs routine electrical repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps and assists in repairing ballast and light fixtures.
- Purchases supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects at the direction of the Facilities Director
- Assembles and moves furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards, moves and sets up tables and chairs.
- Repairs and replaces doorknobs or locks, repairs door closures, patches holes in walls.
- Paints interior and exterior walls.
- Other maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Conducts safety inspection reviews of all locations on a quarterly basis or as needed.
- Performs repairs identified on safety inspections at the time of inspection or in a timely manner.
- Works with each locations safety officer to ensure safety and maintenance of location is maintained.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for preventive maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including but not limited to HVAC and Agency Vehicles.
- Conduct monthly review/inspections of Agency Vehicles.
- Maintaining tool safety and ensure tools are secured on person or in toolbox/bag at all times.
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of three years’ work experience as a facilities technician.
- A valid driver's license and insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
- Must be comfortable and able to work on ladder and step ladders.
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
- Use of power tools.
- Some work outside.
- Heavy exposure to PC and phones.
- Weekly, monthly and annual deadlines.
- Travel.
