• Define and develop ideal customer profiles that align with company values and capabilities
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with general contractors, developers, and business clients
• Lead all aspects of commercial electrical projects from concept to completion
• Oversee project managers, team leads, and field crews to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
• Collaborate with executive leadership on division strategy, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure projects meet deadlines, budget targets, and high‑quality standards
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence
• Represent Burkhead Electric’s core values in all internal and external interactions
• Identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvements

• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License
• Minimum 10 years of electrical trade experience, with at least 5 years in commercial leadership
• Demonstrated success managing large‑scale commercial projects and diverse teams
• Expert knowledge of NEC, local codes, and commercial electrical systems
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities
• Ability to develop strategy and execute in complex, fast‑paced environments

• Experience with smart building technologies or infrastructure systems

Monday–Friday

Availability for occasional evening or weekend project demands

Based out of Indianola, IA

Local and regional travel to commercial job sites as needed
