Weekly Hours: 40.00
Salary Range: 18.00 – 25.50
Pay Info: $3,000 Sign on bonus

Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long‑term care. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance to the assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The NA will support the physical and psychological needs of residents according to their care plans and assist with basic health‑care needs, daily living activities, vital sign recording, psychosocial support, and personal care.

The NA will also help with meals and snacks, document resident interactions, communicate changes in condition to the charge nurse, collect non‑invasive specimens, assist with housekeeping and laundry, support wellness and recreational programs, and participate in committees and task forces as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred (not required).
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing (or state‑certified CNA) within four months of starting the position; certification is required and provided by the facility.
  • Successful completion of yearly department‑specific competency testing and maintenance of continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually).
  • Maintenance of all required department certifications.
  • Certification and registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry when applicable.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and medical clearance for driving duties when required for driving functions.
