Job Overview:

Burkhead Electric is looking for a dedicated and experienced Residential Electrician to lead and execute electrical projects in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and develop apprentices, fostering a culture of accountability and high quality performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems to meet or exceed National Electrical Code standards.
• Take ownership of projects, ensuring precision and adherence to Burkhead Electric's craftsmanship standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization in work areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Stay current with industry best practices through training and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Valid Iowa Journeyman Electrician license (required).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical trade. (required)
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, tools, materials, and safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 80 lbs., working overhead, ladder, confined spaces, standing/kneeling for extended periods).
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time:
  Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with overtime potential.
• Minimum 40 hours per week.

Work Location:

• In-person, various project sites across Iowa.
