Job Responsibilities
:
To develop and provide appropriate treatment strategies within a therapeutic milieu.

Job Duties
:

  • Obtain Therapist certification of License as required by Department of Mental Health and maintain Certification/License in good standing.
  • Provide therapy in school and home settings (individual, group, school based, family and day treatment if applicable).
  • Provide referral to services that may benefit the consumer, consumer’s family and/or school personnel.
  • Establish weekly meetings with case manager(s).
  • Serve as liaison between student, home, school, and community resources such as family service agencies, child guidance clinics, courts, protective services, doctors, local MAP teams and clergy members.
    • Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work or DMH approved related field.
  • Eligible to meet DMH Certification/Licensure requirements for Therapist
  • Valid Mississippi Driver’s License
