The OR Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) performs the clinical role of an RN III in caring for patients undergoing surgery and/or anesthesia. This position assumes a leadership role in daily unit operations, assists with hiring and training staff, supervises and evaluates staff performance, and maintains staffing levels to meet patient needs and budget goals. The PCC ensures availability of necessary equipment and supplies and develops performance improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes.
The PCC serves as a role model and mentor to staff and acts as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
- California RN License
- Proven nursing skills and knowledge for RN III in Surgical Services
- Leadership and management experience or skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- CPR and ACLS certifications
