Salary Range: $157,268 - $251,659 (equivalent to $75.61 - $120.99/hr)

Envoy Recruitment is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Surgical Services to oversee perioperative operations within a 145-bed acute-care hospital serving the Coachella Valley region.

This leader will serve as the primary administrator for surgical services, responsible for staff recruitment and retention, regulatory compliance, departmental performance, financial oversight, and delivery of exceptional patient care. The Director will work closely with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital leadership to optimize service delivery and support ongoing program development.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse leader who is passionate about building high-performing teams and ensuring safe, efficient, patient-centered surgical care.

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Surgical Services, ensuring safe, high-quality care
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, performance evaluations, competencies, and ongoing staff development
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory requirements
• Implement department policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives
• Promote a positive and professional environment for patients, families, and staff
• Align departmental goals with hospital-wide strategic objectives
• Monitor and manage departmental budgets to achieve financial targets
• Collaborate with surgeons and hospital leadership to enhance service delivery and meet patient/physician expectations

Education & Licensure

• Active California RN License required
• CPR certification required

Experience

• Strong leadership, supervisory, or management experience in acute care
• Mastery of nursing skills and clinical knowledge relevant to perioperative or surgical services
• Ability to lead teams, influence culture, and drive performance
• Basic computer proficiency
