Indian Wells Golf Resort is seeking aRetail Sales Associateto join our Golf Shop team. The Retail Sales Associate supports the day-to-day golf shop operation by delivering exceptional member and guest service, promoting merchandise sales, and maintaining the highest standards of retail presentation. This individual will serve as a frontline ambassador of the Resort, providing warm hospitality and creating an elevated shopping experience for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services

• Greet guests promptly and professionally, delivering a warm and memorable first impression.
• Assist with product selection by offering informed recommendations and personalized service.
• Handle guest inquiries with discretion, diplomacy, and a solutions-oriented approach.
• Build relationships with guests by anticipating preferences and recognizing returning customers.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently for purchases, returns, and exchanges.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and manage financial transactions in line with Golf Shop procedures.
• Actively promote merchandise, apparel, and equipment through suggestive selling and product knowledge.
• Receive, tag, display, and maintain merchandise to ensure a polished and inviting shop environment.
• Organize displays with attention to detail, reflecting IWGR’s elevated brand standards.
• Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and assist with monthly and seasonal inventory counts.
• Keep the Golf Shop clean, organized, and presentable always.

Operational Support

• Assist with daily opening and closing responsibilities.
• Collaborate with golf and retail leadership to identify opportunities for improved guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in golf or luxury retail.
• Knowledge of golf apparel, equipment, and industry trends preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
