Role summary:
The (USA) Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing electrical issues, conducting inspections, and executing repairs using multiple craft skills while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The position requires managing maintenance schedules, coordinating with contractors, and responding promptly to emergency calls.

The Journeyman Electrician supports continuous improvement efforts and collaborates with teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment aligned with company policies and quality standards.

This team delivers expert electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services to support business operations. Technicians follow safety standards and industry best practices while maintaining clear communication with clients. Key duties include preventive maintenance, equipment repair, contractor coordination, and regulatory compliance. • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, facilities, and equipment following established schedules and safety guidelines.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and specialized tools.
• Document maintenance activities, repair needs, and capital expense information accurately.
• Manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment safely and in accordance with company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and maintain a safe work environment.

• Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures using multiple craft skills, including electrical work.
• Ability to diagnose issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Skilled in operating hand and power tools, hoists, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with management, contractors, and team members.
• Capability to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and documentation accurately.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergencies.
