Accounting & Tax Staff

This position is fundamental to ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, compliance with tax regulations, and the timely preparation of financial reports. You will play a vital role in supporting our accounting operations and maintaining the integrity of our financial systems, directly contributing to the organisation's financial health and regulatory compliance.

Recording daily financial transactions and maintaining general ledger accounts with accuracy and attention to detail

Preparing and reconciling bank statements, cash accounts, and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices and managing payment schedules

Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Managing tax compliance obligations, including the calculation, recording, and filing of VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory tax payments

Maintaining tax documentation and ensuring adherence to Indonesian tax regulations and requirements

Supporting the preparation of tax returns and coordinating with tax consultants or authorities as needed

Conducting account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy

Preparing journal entries and supporting documentation for accounting transactions

Assisting with audit procedures and providing necessary financial documentation to auditors

Maintaining organised financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Proven experience of 1-3 years in accounting and tax functions, ideally within a commercial or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and monthly reporting requirements

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

Excellent understanding of the accounting cycle and financial statement preparation

Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail in all financial transactions

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently

Good communication skills in both Indonesian and English, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge of relevant Indonesian accounting standards and regulations

Familiarity with payroll processing and employee tax withholding is desirable
