Project manager​/engineer

JDH Design & Build is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Civil Engineer with strong MEP engineering knowledge to join our growing construction team in Bali.

This is a hands-on senior role responsible for managing construction projects from pre-construction through to final handover. You will work closely with our Construction Manager, architects, engineers, QS team, site teams and subcontractors to ensure every JDH project is delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standard
.

A strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems is essential for this position
. The successful candidate must be capable of reviewing and coordinating MEP works alongside architectural and structural construction and identifying potential clashes or technical issues before they impact the project onsite.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects, is confident making decisions onsite and can identify and resolve issues before they become delays or cost overruns.

Manage multiple construction projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover

Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, schedules and construction milestones

Coordinate site managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers

Monitor daily and weekly site progress against the approved construction programme

Ensure construction is carried out in accordance with approved architectural, structural and MEP drawings

Review, coordinate and oversee MEP works across all projects

Identify clashes between MEP, structural and architectural drawings before and during construction

Coordinate electrical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC, pumps, water systems and other building services

Conduct regular site inspections and ensure workmanship meets JDH quality standards

Identify construction issues, design conflicts and potential delays early and coordinate solutions with the relevant teams

Manage procurement schedules and ensure materials are ordered and delivered in line with the construction programme

Work closely with the QS team to monitor budgets, variations, subcontractor claims and project costs

Review contractor and subcontractor performance

Maintain accurate project documentation, progress records, site reports and correspondence

Prepare clear weekly progress reports for JDH management

Attend and lead project coordination meetings

Communicate professionally with clients and provide clear updates on progress, programme and key project matters

Ensure site safety procedures and Indonesian construction regulations are followed

Manage MEP testing and commissioning, defects and final project handover

Take responsibility for ensuring projects meet JDH's standards for quality, programme and cost

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, MEP Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Minimum 5 years' experience in construction project management, civil engineering or senior site management

Strong MEP engineering and construction knowledge is mandatory

Demonstrated experience coordinating MEP systems with architectural and structural works

Ability to read, understand and review architectural, structural and MEP drawings

Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, drainage, HVAC and associated building services

Strong experience managing residential, commercial or hospitality construction projects

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously

Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, materials and quality control

Strong understanding of project budgets, procurement, variations and cost control

Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors

Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying construction issues

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities

Experience working on construction projects in Bali or Indonesia is highly advantageous

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly between project sites
