About the role

Palm Trees Montessori School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary/Kindergarten School Teacher to join our teaching team. This is a full-time position based in South Tangerang, Banten. In this role, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and nurturing learning environment for young students, whilst implementing the Montessori educational philosophy. You will play a crucial role in fostering intellectual curiosity, social development and emotional growth during these formative years of a child's education.

This position is vital to our mission of providing high-quality, child-centred education that prepares students for lifelong learning and success.

What you’ll be doing
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the Montessori curriculum and individual student learning needs
  • Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery
  • Observing and assessing student progress through continuous monitoring and documentation of developmental milestones
  • Facilitating hands‑on learning activities and practical life exercises aligned with Montessori principles
  • Building positive relationships with students, fostering independence, confidence and a love of learning
  • Communicating regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements and areas for development
  • Collaborating with colleagues to maintain consistency in educational standards and school policies
  • Supporting students' social‑emotional development and encouraging respect, cooperation and community responsibility
  • Organising classroom materials and resources to support student‑led, self‑directed learning
  • Participating in professional development and ongoing training to enhance teaching practice
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification or licence appropriate for elementary or kindergarten level instruction
  • Montessori training or certification (AMI or AMS) is highly desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years' classroom teaching experience with young learners
  • Strong knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate teaching methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and adults
  • Ability to create and maintain an organised, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Patience, creativity and flexibility in responding to diverse learning styles and needs
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous
  • Current first aid and child safeguarding certification or willingness to obtain
  • Commitment to child protection, safety and welfare at all times
