Job Title:
Specialist, Electrical Maintenance
The Function Specialist – Electrical is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment across the facility or project. This includes troubleshooting, developing technical solutions, maintaining standards, and supporting continuous improvement in electrical operations.
Responsibilities- Perform detailed analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and components (MV/LV switch gear, motors, transformers, relays, etc.).
- Develop maintenance strategies for electrical equipment to ensure optimal uptime.
- Provide technical support during project execution and commissioning phases.
- Evaluate and improve electrical designs and ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
- Support electrical root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures.
- Ensure documentation such as single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical layouts are accurate and updated.
- Coordinate with other departments (mechanical, instrumentation, process) for integrated system operations.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and ensure electrical systems meet compliance requirements.
- Monitor and analyze electrical performance data for improvements or risks.
- Provide training and mentoring to junior engineers or technicians.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Min. Age 18 yo.
- Professional certification or license (if required by region) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or maintenance in an industrial, utility, or construction setting.
- Familiarity with preventive/predictive maintenance, electrical distribution, protection systems, and power quality.
- Proficient in electrical analysis tools (ETAP, SKM, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Hands‑on experience with protection relays, SCADA, VFDs, and PLCs.
- Good analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiar with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) is a plus.
