Location: South Tangerang

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, commercially sound, and technically aligned cost estimates for machineryrepair & recovery projects in support of disaster recovery services.

This role supports project profitability and operational planning by assessing project requirements, reviewing technical information, preparing pricing calculations, and coordinating closely with Operations, Finance, and Management to ensure estimates are realistic, competitive, and aligned with company standards.

The Estimator also contributes to improving pricing consistency, cost tracking, and commercial reporting across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, quotations, and pricing proposals for inspections, mitigation, restoration, and BOQ/BOM reinstatement works as part of proposals or as part inspection deliverables for client reports.
  • Review scope of work, site conditions, technical reports, drawings, and client requirements to determine project costing.
  • Calculate labour, equipment, material, subcontractor, logistics, and operational costs.
  • Develop standardized pricing structures and estimation templates where applicable.
  • Ensure all estimates are commercially viable and aligned with target project margins.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across all quotations and pricing submissions.
Project Review & Technical Coordination
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineers, and Technical Personnel to validate project scope and methodology.
  • Participate in project discussions, inspections, or site visits where required to better understand project conditions.
  • Identify potential commercial risks, scope gaps, or cost exposure during the estimation process.
  • Assist in preparing project methodologies, schedules, and resource assumptions for proposals.
  • Support clarification discussions with clients, insurers, adjusters, and stakeholders where required.
  • Monitor actual project costs against estimated budgets and identify variances.
  • Assist in improving project margin visibility and commercial tracking.
  • Support Operations and Finance with variation pricing, additional work quotations, and project cost reviews.
  • Contribute to improving estimation accuracy through post-project reviews and lessons learned.
  • Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, supplier pricing, and cost references.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Ensure all quotations, estimates, and supporting calculations are properly documented and traceable.
  • Maintain organized estimation files and project costing records.
  • Prepare estimation summaries and commercial reports for Management when required.
  • Support reporting on quotation success rates, conversion rates, and pricing trends.
  • Assist in developing standardized commercial documentation and estimation procedures.
  • Support implementation of estimation procedures, controls, and commercial governance standards.
  • Continuously improve estimation processes, templates, and pricing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, approval authorities, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all commercial matters.

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills
  • Good understanding of project costing and budgeting
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret technical and operational information
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Strong organizational and documentation ability
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple quotations simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation tools
Preferred Background
  • Experience in engineering, industrial services, insurance loss adjusting, or disaster recovery industries preferred
  • Familiarity with mitigation, reinstatement, equipment utilization, and project costing processes preferred
  • Understanding of operational workflows and commercial project structures preferred
