The Local Support Team is looking for a passionate and experienced Lead Engineer (Powertrain – T5 level) to join our dynamic team supporting the development of next‑generation EV. In this role, you will serve as the technical lead and representative for the powertrain and thermal modules throughout the product development lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful design, integration, and validation of powertrain systems, while meeting stringent technical standards and project deadlines.
Your work will directly contribute to advancing EV technology and ensuring high‑quality production in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Integrate and test powertrain modules according to project requirements and technical standards.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and quality control teams to ensure module synchronization, production efficiency, and quality compliance.
- Support production line operations to ensure smooth workflow, adherence to production schedules, and timely delivery of components.
- Monitor and maintain component quality standards, working closely with suppliers and quality teams to promptly resolve any issues.
- Oversee testing processes, analyze results, and propose engineering solutions to resolve technical issues during prototype build and production.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and design drawings for powertrain modules.
- Play a key role in software integration, testing, and full EV system validation.
- Develop application software using Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, and related tools.
- Work on core thermal systems for EVs, including HVAC, battery cooling, and E‑Drive systems.
- Collaborate in global engineering environments, contributing to the future of mobility.
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Deviation Change Requests (DCR) in cooperation with ESPs, ensuring quality and timely releases.
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and run PFEP (Plan For Every Part) to ensure all parts are delivered on time.
- Validate 2D and 3D drawings and support on‑site manufacturing in the production line.
- Implement internal VF processes and prepare weekly reports for line managers.
- Participate in training and technical guidance for team members and related departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in Automotive (Thermal or Powertrain preferred).
- Proven hands‑on experience with VCU & CCU.
- Strong expertise in Model‑Based development, CAN/LIN.
- Familiar with Team Center, Catia, SAP.
- Good management skills.
- Thermal management certifications.
- Software training (Catia, INCA, CANoe, etc.).
- Advanced‑level English.
- Full‑time position based in India/Indonesia/Vietnam.
