About the RoleThe Operations / Manufacturing / Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production or service center activities, ensuring that processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This role supervises professional-level staff and ensures adherence to quality standards and production or service schedules.
This job profile is intended for People Managers of 4+ professional-level roles.
Responsibilities- Pre-commissioning and commissioning of installed, repaired or overhauled rotating equipment.
- Supervise and assist with the DIRA of rotating equipment and associated auxiliary equipment according to technical drawings and specifications, if required.
- Systematic troubleshooting, root cause analysis and rectification on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation components and systems with consideration of quality, time and cost.
- Lead the start-up and testing of new installations/erections or overhauled units of rotating equipment including mechanical parts, electrical parts, instruments and control systems.
- Monitor field sequence activities based on agreed scope and schedule and report regularly to office.
- Ensure that all findings and work are clearly reported in writing.
- Work assignment could be at shop or field service depending on customer projects request.
- Communicate with customer or third party on site as RES representative.
- Ensure that all works and activities are done in line with the ISO procedures, as well as the HSE and company regulations.
- Prevent accidents, conduct walk-throughs and observations.
- Campaign using Stop Work Authority to supervise when any unsafe act or condition is observed and record it using an observation card.
- Review HIRADC effectiveness and ensure working area is safe for everyone.
- Coordinate with Project OPC, Sales, Engineering and workshop.
- Diploma’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Preferably with minimum 5 years experience working on repairing rotating equipment.
- Experience in the OEM is an advantage.
- Knowledge of repair or overhaul turbine generators.
- Fluent in English.
- Team player.
- Well organized and structured.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pro-active and self-motivated mindset.
- Multi-tasking ability.
- Experience in installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Willingness to travel and work on project sites.
