PSM Engineer; HSE

PSM Engineer (Process Safety Management) | HSE Division — EBER Petrochemical Group

EBER Petrochemical Group is looking for a Process Safety professional to join our HSE Division as PSM Engineer. You will own the implementation of all Process Safety Management elements across the Group’s operating sites — Eternal Buana Chemical Industries (EBCI), Eterindo Nusa Graha (ENG), and Petrowidada (PWD).

This role is the guardian of plant operating integrity: keeping every process unit inside its safe operating limits, preventing major process incidents, and driving a consistent process safety standard across sites. The position reports directly to the Head of Safety & Operational Integrity GM.

Develop and maintain Process Safety Information for all process units — chemical hazard data, process technology, P&IDs, and safe operating limits.

Plan and facilitate Process Hazard Analysis sessions (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA) with process, engineering, and operations teams, and track recommendations to closure.

Review Management of Change proposals and lead Pre-Startup Safety Reviews for new projects, modifications, and post-turnaround start-ups.

Define the Safety Critical Element register and performance criteria, and evaluate the integrity status of critical equipment.

Investigate process safety incidents and near misses using Root Cause Analysis, and turn findings into cross-site lessons learned.

Run the internal PSM compliance audit programme and report Group-level process safety performance.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum 4 years in process safety, process engineering, or HSE within the chemical / petrochemical industry.

Certification:
Ahli K3 Umum (Kemnaker);
Process Safety Management training and HAZOP facilitator qualification.

Technical competencies:
Process Safety, HSE Compliance, Process Control, Equipment Reliability, Data Analysis & Reporting, Continuous Improvement.

Behavioural competencies:

Willing to travel to Group operating sites (Cikupa, Gresik).
