Trade Compliance Specialist

Overview

Key responsibilities and areas of accountability related to customs clearance, trade compliance, and interaction with government authorities.

• Customs clearance operation and control
• Verification of each import to ensure the data is uploaded to Customs systems accurately
• Declaration documents preparation and daily Customs clearance operation implementation
• Representative for Customs inquiries, investigations and inspections
• Support logistics movements and WH operation related to trade compliance
• HS classification, country of origins, valuations management
• Transfer price verification and supervision
• Obtain survey reports as required
• Ensure compliance with all import and export regulations
• Imp & exp license application, record keeping, and documentation
• Manage oversight of the payments of duties, taxes and brokerage fees

• SOP establishment, maintenance and verification
• Develop, and implement SOPs for the business
• SOP maintenance, revise according to Customs policy, regulation change

• Daily communication, cooperation with supplier to ensure Customs operation running well
• Customs Broker management and accountability
• KPI follow up and management
• Implement GTC export control order and export control docs follow up
• Work with other regions, countries TC team to develop export control management

• Contact window to communicate and develop relationship with Customs, government authorities
• SME to communicate ongoing regulation changes/requirements
• Conduct audit, investigation from Customs
• Customs policy, regulations and announcements publishing and training

• Implement order, tasks from regional manager and TC reporting line
• Support TC internal audit

• Bachelor's degree, major in logistics, global trade or import & export affairs
• More than 3 years working experience in customs operation, trade compliance in Indonesia
• Strong knowledge of Trade compliance and Customs, Customs compliance and security practices
• Attention to detail and organization skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficient with office software such as Excel, Word, PPT
• Good team-work and willingness to share knowledge with others
• A quick learner and responsible
• Well knowledge of government regulations and sense of compliance
