  • Develop and implement government relations strategies to influence public policy and regulation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, and other political influencers.
  • Communicate the organization’s position on public policy issues to legislators, government agencies, and the public.
  • Represent the organization at public hearings, legislative sessions, and industry events.
  • Provide regular updates and strategic advice to senior leadership on government activities and potential implications for the organization.
  • Advise on and lead efforts to engage with policymakers on key issues.
  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key political stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and trade associations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and local, state, and federal government officials.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to lobbying, political activity, and government relations.
  • Identify potential risks arising from government policies and develop strategies to address them.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Business, or related field. A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years in government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs.
  • Proven track record of successful interaction with government officials and agencies.
  • Experience in lobbying, advocacy, or political strategy is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the legislative and regulatory process.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and present clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with compliance and ethical guidelines for government relations and lobbying.
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written.
