Maintenance, Building Maintenance

The Maintenance Staff is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of the school's facilities and infrastructure. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance, supports the operation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance Staff works closely with the Facilities and Operations team to ensure all school buildings and equipment are properly maintained and comply with safety standards.

Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) graduate, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Maintenance, or a related technical field.

Diploma (D1/D2/D3) in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.

Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or MEP maintenance.

Previous experience in an international school, educational institution, hospitality, residential, or commercial building is preferred.

Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Familiarity with HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, water pumps, generators, and fire protection systems.

Able to perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Basic understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.

Able to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.

Good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia. Basic English communication is an advantage.

Able to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) are an advantage for reporting purposes.

Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of school buildings, classrooms, offices, and common areas.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from school departments.

Conduct minor repairs to furniture, doors, windows, fixtures, and school equipment.

Ensure school facilities remain safe, clean, and operational at all times.

Maintain maintenance records and report completed work to the Facilities Supervisor or Operations Manager.

Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.

Perform routine checks on electrical systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment, water pumps, generators, and fire protection systems.

Identify and report any faults or abnormalities in MEP systems.

Support external contractors during servicing, repairs, and installations.

Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures and operational standards.

Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times.

Report safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly.

Assist in maintaining fire safety equipment and emergency systems.

Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are used and stored safely.

Support emergency maintenance work when required.

Monitor maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.

Assist in receiving, organizing, and maintaining maintenance supplies.

Report material requirements for repairs and preventive maintenance.

Ensure proper care and storage of maintenance equipment.

Support school events by preparing facilities and equipment as required.

Assist with campus setup, furniture movement, and classroom arrangements.

Coordinate with other departments to complete maintenance requests efficiently.

Perform other maintenance-related duties assigned by the Facilities Supervisor, Operations Manager, or School Leadership.
