Operations is responsible for driving the planning and the day‑to‑day management of the business to align with the bank's mission and strategic goals. Operations set the direction and manage performance to bank targets with a focus on continual performance improvement. Work includes:

• Identifying and prioritising product and service improvement opportunities and creating plans for implementation; utilising comprehensive knowledge of the company's internal operations to develop forward‑looking focus for business
• Supporting bank strategy, proactively identifying and managing areas of risk
• Maintaining relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including regulators, market vendors and internal divisions
• Communicating changes to operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls

• Lead Custody Operations team in Indonesia and deliver excellent support to business and client
• Identify and prioritise product and service improvement opportunities and create implementation plans
• Support bank strategy, proactively identify and manage areas of risk
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and internal operating procedures
• Ensure operational requirements and their impact on relevant processes and controls are complete and updated in a timely manner
• Drive improvement initiatives and transformation in operations processes, achieving cost targets
• Drive an effective and efficient operating model
• Provide clear directions and solutions in managing daily operations and create effective control design and implementation
• Focus on people’s development and ensure strong succession planning
• Provide oversight for adequate production controls and escalations, and proactively manage internal and external audits
• Maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders including clients, regulators, and internal divisions

• 12+ years’ experience in a financial services organisation, preferably a tier‑1 corporate bank environment with experience in Custody Operations
• Good technical and commercial understanding of Custody Products and operations processes
• Strong understanding of Indonesia regulatory reporting requirements
• 8+ years of leadership experience with strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple teams
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage teams across geography
• Strong analytical skills, able to demonstrate flexibility and take ownership in problem solving
• Ability to understand different business processes across Custody Operations
• Ability to work in tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Manage complexity and ambiguity well, with proven skills to take leadership in managing risk and control within an operational set‑up
• Entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership of initiating and executing initiatives
• Knowledge of automation toolkit and Robotic Process Automation a plus
• Working knowledge of human‑centred design / design thinking
