Product Development Executive

Overview

We are seeking a highly passionate, detail-oriented, and innovative Product Development Executive to join our beauty & fragrance brand. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes beauty, understands industry trends, and can lead product creation from ideation to launch.

• Conduct in-depth market research to analyze beauty trends (skincare, cosmetics, fragrance), consumer behavior, and competitor products—both locally and internationally.
• Identify product opportunities and build strategic product roadmaps aligned with brand positioning.
• Collect consumer feedback and evaluate existing or newly launched products for continual improvement.

• Conceptualize new, innovative product ideas with clear USP and strong Product-Market Fit (PMF).
• Provide product concepts, selling points, and comprehensive product descriptions for internal teams.
• Assist Marketing, Creative, and Promotion teams in shaping strong launch concepts and campaigns.

• Lead and manage the development cycle from ideation, formulation, packaging, sampling, testing, panel feedback, revision, regulatory compliance, up to mass production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, operations, suppliers, manufacturers, and other internal departments.
• Build clear project timelines, monitor progress, and ensure on-time product launches.

• Work closely with manufacturers (including Maklon/OEM) to develop formulas, run stability tests, oversee panel testing, and ensure BPOM compliance.
• Provide technical briefs, monitor sampling stages, and propose improvements to achieve the desired product quality.
• Explore packaging innovations and new technology advancements.
• Build and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Source and evaluate materials, packaging, and active ingredients.
• Collect data on product availability, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Monitor product arrivals, stock, and purchasing processes according to company needs.
• Analyze product costing (COGS) to ensure commercial feasibility.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or related fields (open to all majors but science background preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Product Development or R&D in the fragrance/ beauty industry.
• Experience with Maklon/OEM manufacturing is a strong advantage.
• Fresh graduates with strong passion and internship experience are welcome.
• Strong understanding of beauty products (makeup, skincare, fragrance) and active ingredients.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to conduct market research and data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills; able to work cross-department and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple timelines simultaneously.
• Creative, proactive, and not afraid to voice ideas or take initiative.
• Up-to-date with beauty trends and product innovations globally.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and positive work ethic.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
  Mandarin is a plus.
• Able to join immediately or within 2 weeks is preferred.
