Quality Assurance & Lab Technologist - Merak

Overview

This position will perform analytical and physical testing. Primary responsibility is the quality assurance testing support for Latex and assist in executing task for compliance with ISO, IATF and GMP.

• Safety in the QA lab and for the Merak site
• Coordinating Quality meeting such as Plant MI, ISO, IATF and other quality compliance.
• Provide primary quality assurance testing support for site operations.
• Perform routine testing on blending samples from bagging operation.
• Register the data in COBE for COA extraction.
• Perform raw material acceptance testing.
• Owning lab equipment which includes calibrating and maintaining per a defined schedule.
• Perform routine testing of reference polymer to verify the performance of the lab equipment.
• Maintain lab supplies and re-order through SAP when required.
• Participate in reviewing and writing lab standard operating procedures as needed.
• Respond as necessary to lab testing results; this could include initiation of quality investigations, quarantining of product or raw material, and making determination of quality status of product or raw material.
• Participate in test method precision studies and ILUs (Inter laboratory uniformity analyses) in support of test method development.
• Assist in continuous improvement for the lab by looking and implementing improvement opportunities.
• Assist in implementing LIMS on site.
• Ensuring that environmental impact aspects and operational controls related to the environment are arranged in the work of the department.

• Education:
  
  Diploma 3 or Bachelor Degree Majoring in Chemistry.
• Experience:
  
  2 years experiences.
• Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
  • Familiarity with Quality Management System ISO 9001, 14000, IATF 16949, and government product certification.
  • Good knowledge and skill in operating laboratory equipment.
  • Microsoft office application proficiency.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Fluently in English.
