We are looking for an experienced QC & Laboratory Manager to lead and oversee quality control and laboratory operations across our regional facilities in Ciwandan, Balikpapan, Palembang, and Medan. This role will be responsible for ensuring product quality, laboratory competency, compliance with quality and safety standards, and continuous improvement. The position will also work closely with regional technical teams, R&D, customers, and other companies within the Tipco Group, including teams in Vietnam and Thailand.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage laboratory operations across multiple locations.
- Ensure product quality and compliance with relevant specifications and standards.
- Lead laboratory teams and develop technical competency.
- Oversee testing and quality evaluation of bitumen, PMB, PG Bitumen, and bitumen emulsion
. - Drive product formulation, optimization, quality improvement, and problem-solving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
. - Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze laboratory data, quality trends, and process capability using statistical tools and the 7 QC Tools
. - Collaborate with Regional Technical, R&D, customers, and Tipco Group companies in Thailand and Vietnam
. - Provide technical support and travel to regional sites when required.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Engineering
, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience
, preferably with supervisory or management experience. - Strong technical knowledge of bitumen chemistry, rheology, performance, and laboratory testing
. - Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and quality management systems.
- Experience in bitumen, asphalt, petroleum, oil & gas, or construction materials is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English
, both written and spoken. - Willingness to travel to regional sites.
