Senior Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our culinary team at The Bench Group in Canggu - Uluwatu, Bali. This is a contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead kitchen operations and mentor junior staff in a dynamic hospitality environment. As Senior Sous Chef, you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation and quality whilst supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

This role is perfect for a skilled culinary professional looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

• Minimum 5–7 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory kitchen role
• Formal culinary training or recognised chef qualification (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
• Strong technical skills in food preparation, cooking techniques and menu development across multiple cuisines
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience training and mentoring kitchen staff
• Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP principles
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of inventory management, costing and food waste reduction
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a diverse hospitality setting
• Experience working in international or high-end hospitality establishments is highly desirable
