We're looking for a Junior Cook to help with food preparation, cooking, and keeping the kitchen clean and organised. You'll work under the Lead Cook and support the team during service.
Key responsibilities- Prepare ingredients, including washing, chopping, and portioning
- Cook and plate dishes following recipes and the Lead Cook's instructions
- Get your station ready before service and keep it stocked
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures
- Store and label food correctly
- Help unpack deliveries and put stock away
- Clean work surfaces, equipment, and utensils as you go
- Help with washing up and kitchen cleaning at the end of each shift
- Let the Lead Cook know when stock is running low or something is wrong
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Happy to work as part of a team
- Some kitchen experience is helpful
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work at a steady pace
- Take pride in keeping your work area clean
