Loss Prevention Store Compliance

• Complete the targeted number of compliance checks (Enhanced LP Check) for the year as determined by Head of Loss Prevention, SEA.
• Executes and performs store compliance checks (Enhanced LP Check), which include pre-check KRI analysis, field work, wrap-up, and finalizing results.
• Ensures quality checks by understanding business SOPs and assessing associated risks.
• Continuous efforts to review and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of checks to ensure compliance with business SOPs.
• Identifies internal control weaknesses within Store Operations and recommends opportunities for improvement to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency, collaborating with Store Operations to address these weaknesses.
• Supports business partnering efforts to Store Operations (e.g. sharing sessions with Operations)
• Assists Loss Prevention Manager with the preparation of monthly Enhanced LP check reports.
• Supports and assists in performing any ad hoc advisories and investigations as assigned, and provides practical and effective recommendations to management in enhancing the control environment within the businesses.

Job Description – Loss Prevention

• Ensure loss prevention processes, procedures and practices are carried out to protect the company’s assets
• Deter, detect, report and investigate to reduce and minimize preventable losses
• Conduct investigation, including investigation interview and statement recording, to thoroughly search for evidence and facts to determine losses/shrink ages and put up detailed investigation report providing findings, recommendations and conclusion for decision making by the business/department.
• Broaden loss prevention awareness and culture in business through regular engagement and sharing
• Provide advice on location of CCTV cameras for adequate coverage and ensure the system is in working condition for the security and safety of businesses
• Ability to apply data analytics and video analysis from the sources of data/information for detection, investigation of losses and reducing the risk of high shrinkage for businesses

Requirements

• Tertiary education (diploma or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; a background in compliance, retail operations or inventory management is an asset.
• Knowledge of retail risk management practices and loss prevention techniques.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in compliance and loss prevention checks.
• Effective communication of findings and recommendations.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to ethical integrity.
• Basic investigation skills with working knowledge of the penal code offences, evidence gathering, familiar with security work and police procedures
