Junior Fullstack Developer

We are looking for a Junior Developer to build real features on real systems, with senior engineers alongside you. You will write code that ships to enterprise clients, and you will have your work reviewed properly, which is the fastest way we know to get good.

You will work across the stack, from the React and Next.js front end through to our Node.js, Fastify, and Go services, and you will be expected to ask questions, raise concerns, and say when something does not make sense.

• You will learn on real systems. Not sandbox projects. Your code runs in production for clients who depend on it, which teaches you things no tutorial can.
• Every line you write gets reviewed. Senior engineers read your code and explain the why, not just the what. Mentoring is part of the job here, not a favour.
• A stack that will still be worth knowing in five years. Type Script, React and Next.js, Go, cloud deployments, CI/CD, and proper testing habits from day one.

• Translate UI and UX designs into readable, maintainable code.
• Investigate, design, test, apply, and evaluate new or existing code.
• Write and modify code that complies with our standards and is scalable, performant, resilient, and well documented.
• Maintain and upgrade existing code, and help make sure users are given proper training.
• Deploy test and development environments, and check that there are no code discrepancies between them.
• Report on weekly tasks using project management tools such as JIRA, Airtable, Click Up, Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Trello, and Bitbucket.
• Assist with documentation, including user installation, administration, code usage, application configuration manuals, and training materials.
• Discuss engineering issues and trade-offs openly, and communicate clearly when you are stuck or unsure.
• Collaborate with other engineers, design professionals, and clients to build systems and software.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience. Strong personal projects, internships, or bootcamp work count.

• Back-end development with Node.js, Fastify, and Go Fiber.
• Some exposure to cloud environments, particularly Digital Ocean and Vercel.

  SQL databases such as SQL Server, Single Store, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra, Click House, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Familiarity with Dev Sec Ops  practices, including CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, and containerization.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and with security concepts for prevention and detection.
• Familiarity with automated testing using Jest and Cypress.
• Familiarity with Linux environments (Ubuntu/Red Hat).
• Comfortable with Git and Bitbucket for version control and code review.

• Familiar with Agile environments and tools such as JIRA, Airtable, Click Up, Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Trello, and Bitbucket, with a focus on continuous improvement and software craftsmanship.

• Willing to ask questions early rather than stay stuck quietly.
• Open to feedback on your code, and able to act on it without taking it personally.
• Careful about details, and willing to read the specification before writing the code.
• Eager to learn, and honest about what you do not know yet.
