Professor of Mathematics

The Professor of Mathematics is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and contributing to academic leadership and service within the institution. The role requires expertise in a specialized area of mathematics (e.g., pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or computational mathematics) along with a strong commitment to teaching excellence and scholarly advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching Academic Instruction
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Real Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Probability, Statistics, or specialized electives.
Develop and update course syllabi, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
Employ innovative and technology-enhanced teaching methodologies.
Supervise undergraduate research, masters theses, and doctoral dissertations.
Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
Research Scholarly Activity
Conduct original research in a specialized area of mathematics.
Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.
Curriculum Development Academic Leadership
