Title:
Sterile Processing Technician (CSSD)
Location:
Recruitment for on-site placement in a Government Hospital, Saudi Arabia — On-site role in hospital Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD).
Role & Responsibilities
Receive, sort, clean, decontaminate and inspect surgical instruments, medical devices, and reusable equipment according to hospital CSSD protocols.
Operate and monitor sterilization equipment (steam autoclaves, EO/low‑temperature systems); perform Bowie-Dick and biological indicator tests and document results.
Assemble, package and label instrument sets and trays; ensure traceability and compliance with AAMI/CBAHI standards.
Manage sterile storage, distribution and timely supply of instruments to operating rooms and clinical units; prioritise urgent requests.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning and basic troubleshooting of CSSD equipment; report malfunctions and coordinate repair.
Maintain accurate sterilization records, logs and inventory data; follow infection prevention protocols and participate in quality audits.

Must-Have
Autoclave operation

Ethylene oxide sterilization
Biological indicator testing
Bowie-Dick testing

AAMI standards
Inventory management systems
Preferred
Certificate in Sterile Processing/ CSSD training
Experience in government or tertiary hospital CSSD
Knowledge of CBAHI accreditation standards
Additional Qualifications & Requirements
Valid passport and ability to travel for overseas employment to Saudi Arabia.
Proven clinical experience working in a hospital CSSD environment; familiarity with surgical instrument sets and OR workflows.
Basic English for clinical communication;
Arabic language skills are a plus.
