Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a clean, organized, calm, professional front office environment.
- Welcomes families into the school office, answers phones and communicates with classrooms.
- Assists in completion of student schedules, class lists, and student database.
- Assists in completing school, state and federal reports.
- Assists with activities related to opening and closing of the school year.
- Keeps inventory and orders supplies, materials, and capital outlay items.
- Monitors operations of photocopier, laminator, etc., and calls for service as needed.
- Create and maintain student records and transfers in/out.
- Keeps records of Student Activity Fund and Student Activity expenditures.
- Monitors staff absences and works with AESOP to ensure daily coverage.
- Supports daily student transportation (bus, pick‑ups, after school care, activities).
- Assists with incoming student orientations.
- Assists with outgoing school communications.
- Assist with all processes of the financial ordering system.
- Assists with morning routine (i.e., lunch orders, attendance, tardies, etc.).
- Assists the health assistant as needed.
- Assisting, updating, and coordinating school calendar and events (building usage, internal school calendar, picture days, assemblies, parent‑teacher conferences, school parties, graduation, special lunches, etc.).
- Assists teachers with the field trip process (bussing, forms, fees, etc.).
- Attends staff meetings (as appropriate).
- Performs other tasks (as appropriate).
Proficiency in typing, office computer programs including word processing, spreadsheet, and database. Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of such office machinery as computers, printers, calculators, copiers, fax machines and multifunction telephones. Ability to handle sensitive materials in a professional and confidential manner.
