Our client is a 370‑bed hospital and is part of one of the largest and most successful hospital systems in the United States, with over 30 hospitals in more than 10 states.
Job summaryAn IR tech sets up sterile equipment trays, positions patients correctly for interventional radiologic procedures, assists with operating fluoroscopic equipment, and helps capture images. The tech must be knowledgeable about the procedures, equipment, and anatomy visualized.
Key Duties- Performing line placements, angiograms, and kyphoplasty
- Performing percutaneous nephrostomy exams
- Familiar with GE Innova equipment
- Assist with angiography examinations
- Able to work on call
- 8‑week traveler
- High school diploma and completion of a training program at an accredited school
- Current CPR and venipuncture license
- ARRT certified with a specific certifying body
- Demonstrated competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the CIS, RIS, and PACS
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Minimum of two years of clinical X‑ray experience
- CRT permit from the state
- Good understanding of providing superior patient care; comfort, safety, and confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers, and management
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience
- Candidates must have ARRT certification, CA state fluoroscopy permit, and CRT
- CA state venipuncture permit
- BLS certification issued by AHA
