The Clinical Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department, collaborates with the unit Director/Manager, and may assume full scope of the unit in their absence. Key duties include:
- Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare, conduct, and oversee orientation and training for personnel.
- Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and administration (written and verbal).
- Ensure quality of staff and unit functions during their shift.
- Assist the Department Director with daily operations, supervising personnel, and managing staffing and equipment.
- Perform direct patient care when necessary within scope of practice and adjust care plans immediately as required.
- Current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate upon hire and maintained.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate upon hire and maintained.
- Minimum of three years as a Charge Nurse or equivalent experience.
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred.
- Professional certification within 2 years of hire preferred.
Estimated salary range: $45,430 to $64,910. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process and may consider education, experience, and credentials.
