• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, clean shelves, and fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. You must be able to work a variety of hours, including nights and weekends, and be able to perform heavy lifting, bending, and stooping for long periods of time.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store; essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements.
