In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the optimization of power systems across the NWT Power Corporation. From performing restoration work on damaged lines to constructing new transmission infrastructure, your expertise is crucial to the team's success. You will also calculate necessary upgrades to maintain system integrity and safety throughout the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Restore power after disturbances and repairs to lines

• Execute pole and conductor replacement tasks

• Calculate sizes for transformers and conductors in upgrades

• Construct and install transmission lines including transformer banks

• Monitor material usage and paperwork on work orders

Requirements:

• Journeyperson Power Line person certification and a minimum of 4 years experience

• Class 3 driver’s license with appropriate endorsements

• Proficiency with testing equipment and procedures

• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics

• Strong communication and planning skills
