Rehabilitation Nurse Position in St. Thomas

Elevate patient care as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Rehabilitation & Reactivation Unit in St. Thomas, Ontario. Foster therapeutic relationships and utilize your critical thinking skills to enhance patient independence and well-being.

This full-time role requires a Registered Practical Nurse certificate in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. You will perform health assessments, create care plans, and evaluate patient care in an acute medical setting. Your responsibilities will directly support patients in regaining their quality of life post-illness or injury.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and families

• Assess health needs and plan individualized patient care

• Implement and evaluate care, ensuring effective rehabilitation

• Administer medications, including IV medications as required

• Adapt to dynamic environments and changing needs of patients

Requirements:

• Current Registered Practical Nurse certification in Ontario

• BLS Certification and acute nursing skills

• Proven ability to work independently and critically think

• Basic computer skills, including Cerner and EPR

• One year of rehabilitation experience preferred
