Inuvialuit Child Welfare Coordinator

This position is pivotal for ensuring the well-being of Inuvialuit children across various welfare systems in Canada. As a Services Coordinator, you will manage cases, ensure compliance with Bill C-92, and work alongside health and wellness teams. Your insights and advocacy will bridge gaps and provide essential cultural connections for Inuvialuit youth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cases of children in welfare services

• Collaborate with IRC's legal and health teams for support

• Advocate for cultural maintenance for Inuvialuit youth

• Facilitate implementation of Maligaksat initiatives

• Strengthen community connections through effective engagement

Requirements:

• Degree/diploma in social work or counselling

• Two years of relevant experience in social services

• Knowledge of child welfare systems and Bill C-92

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Class 5 Drivers License with travel capacity
